Hello, Stranger

Hello, stranger…

That face you hid beyond the blur
Now fronts a yearning stare…
Beneath the foggy breeze I braved
To hear your lines… amused…
Then seconds flew like swallows,
As your medley rouse my thoughts…
Your stories echoed in my head…
A rerun inside my room.
And I wept… Not of sadness,
rather, because of longing.

How can a stranger like you
share bliss with me like this?
And I believed… and hoped… and dreamt…
As I tore silence with laughter
Mocking the minutes to fade away
So I’d be home to watch your face
And you’ll never be stranger to me…
as I, no more, to you.

Hello, stranger…

Will we ever meet some time?
And if there came a day we meet,
Will, then, our feelings rhyme?

This is a poem - the reader is entitled to his own opinion about what’s in the head of the poet. But whatever opinion the reader has in his mind, it does not necessarily mean it coincides with the thought of the poet. So, go figure. :-)
